On Thursday, December 10th 2020, the Greek event on "The DELTA project and digital skills in the field of Culture and Archeology" was held online through the MS Teams platform with great success within the European project DELTA. The event was organized by the DAISSy research team of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), with the participation of the Department of History and Archeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
In the first part of the multiplier event, were presented the scope, content, objectives as well as the result research and the designed DELTA course, by the HOU (coordinator) and NKUA (Greek partner).
The second part of the multiplier event, included presenations on cultural issues and in particular presentations of European projects on Cultural heritage management, Digital Skills and Tourism for cultural professionals, where HOU either coordinates or participates as partner.
More specifically, Mrs. Panagiota Polymeropoulou, Researcher at DAISSy Research Group of HOU presented the content and objectives of the European project EUHERIT and specifically the results of the research conducted by the consortium during the first months of the project. The results of the research are available online on the project website. Within EUHerit project, the consortium will develop a mixed learning course for professionals and students in the field of culture and tourism management at European and National level. The Massive Open Online Course will be provided through the learning platform of DAISSy, HOU. The blended course will be offered by the consortium in the year 2021. Participants will be able to be informed on the Call for registrations, following the website and the social media of the project.
The event attended students and graduates of study programs related to Culture and Archeology from HOU, NKUA, AUTh, UTH, Univ. Of Crete, Professors of Archeology, researchers, working archaeologists from the Ministry of Culture as well as institutions of culture, museums and archeology.
The event was organized online due to the epidemiological data of the country during this period. It was a huge success, attracting more than 145 participants, while it was also significantly promoted on social media. Also, the event was broadcasted live on the DAISSy YouTube channel with over 335 views.
