Fadia Khraisat, responsible for the EU Desk at EU Heritage partner Camera de Commercio Italiana per la Spagna (CCIS), participated in the European Vocational Skills Week held in Helsinki from the 14th to the 18th October 2019.
Synergies, networking and best practices exchange were the keywords best describing those days. Participants had the possibility to work on how to anticipate competences and skills needs, and fully agree that connections need to be created among the labour market, VET centres, learners and local environment in order to develop training profiles that can be easily employed to guarantee fast track integration into the labour market and society. Synergies among main stakeholders allow VET updating, to respond smartly and to anticipate the changes of the labour market.
Fadia had the pleasure to meet VET ambassadors and representatives of other SSA projects' – such as MEMEVET, Mu.Sa, Live Skills or SKILLMAN –, who are all actively working to establish a transnational public-private partnership to support VET providers. EU Heritage partners are happy to be part of these exchanges, and thank Fadia for representing us in this event.
The fourth European Vocational Skills Week was organised in close cooperation with the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU. A variety of national opening events continue to be held in other EU Member States, along with hundreds of VET-related events and activities at local and regional level.
